I have just been informed from my mechanic that my fuel filter is rusted on and cannot be replaced without the threat of ripping the tubing. I took a look at it and it just doesn't want to let go. To top this issue off this filter looks like its been on my truck for years so god only knows how old this filter is. I have only been the owner of this fine piece of machinery the a little over a year now. So far i only sprayed some WD-40 on it so if anyone has some suggestions for what i should do it would greatly appreciated.

good luck...

Try PB Blaster and soak the **** out of it. If that doesn't work you could cut the line and replace some of the line on both sides of the filter.

I would just rip the filter off and see if it f*cks the line up, if it does go buy some more fuel line. If its rusted on, there might be particles in the whole line. id replace it all just to be safe....thats just me though :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i would cut the filter off as close to the can on both ends as you can. that way it is out of the way making it easier with pliers or whatever you want to use to get to the rest of the end tubes still attached without damaging the fuel line. Just remember to use the tool for the line and as already stated, soak the **** out of it.

Add your truck vitals to your signature, makes answers easier and perhaps more accurate. Where is this filter located, in-line?, on the carb?, etc?

Good luck,

:)>-
