Well I replaced the battery, solenoid, cables, and starter in my 75 Bronco about a year ago. Recently, it quit starting. All I got was a click when I turn the key to ON and back to OFF.

I tested the battery and its charged. So we jumped the solenoid and it started. I replaced the solenoid but it still won't turn over. I'm lost now. If anybody can help I'd appreciate it.

Taake a jumper and jump 12V tothe pick side of the relay, where the little red wire attaches. If it turns over, the problem is in the path back to the ignition switch which includes the neurtal safety switch.

Good luck,

:)>-

It is an automatic. I had a feeling it might be the ignition. I'll check it out.

Thanks!

I have a 68 Bronco that i started rebuilding about 2 years ago. I installed a new wire harness and found out that if your ignition switch isnt grounded well the solenoid will not work right. I would check your power coming to the solenoid from the switch.

Hope this helps and good luck.

In addition to what everyone else is telling you, you should also keep a spare solenoid on hand at all times. Those things go out if a feather touches them. They will take abuse one day and the next if you bump them they are shot. I have to replace mine about 2x a year. Even with the expensive ones. None of them are really that good.
