I'm thinking I want to completely re-wire my 69 Bronco. I installed a Pertronics II in it on Monday and when I tried to clean up some of the engine wiring while I was doing the Pertronics install; I ran into a big mess. The more old electrical tape I cut away the more I can see that the wiring has been mickey moused. Also, my gauges don't work and there are a lot of "extra" wires hanging around and tied off under the dash.

So, the question is; what am I getting myself into here? And has anyone used the Centech kit from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard? My link

I'm told that the dash folds forward, but I can't see how to do that yet. Any suggestions or tips sure would be appreciated.

I used the Centech harness and it is a good simple, straight forward harness. Especially for the price. You should also get the ignition adapter for it too because the ignition that comes with them doesn't fit the original ignition hole on the EB.

As for the dash, it doesn't exactly do a fold down, per say. You have to completely remove it. And if memory serves me, it has been 10 years since I took my dash apart, you have to remove the dash pad and be able to fold the windshield down to get to t 8-10 bolts under the windshield that also hold the dash pad or dash upright. After that, you have 4 major bolts that hold it up. Two are under the dash, 1 is where the ebrake is and the other is on the opposite side under the glove box, they are 2 L brackets that bolt to the kick panel & the bottom of the dash. The two other bolts are right beneth the dash pad, on the face of the dash it's self. And I think you have to remove those first anyway because they are going into the windshield. Don't quote me, but like I said, it's been a long time since I have done it.You also have to pull the steering wheel to get it off and over the column. It is easy, just a lot of unbolting to do.
