Flat black is cool. The only problem is it looks like a beater, after awhile you start forgetting how nice your truck is and begin believing its a piece of crap. Trust me on this , it has happened to me many times.

I had a Yota that I painter primer black. The best part was every time I would go muddin' and get it all scratched up I would stop by Wal-Mart on the way home and buy two more cans of primer. I would go home and wash it - then paint it up and bam it looked like it was heading to the painter soon. I loved the primer. Sisn't hurt as bad when I would knock over saplings and stuff as it would if I had a real paint job. Sorry - it's the redneck in me. Never thought mine was a beater even though I beat it like a red headed step child.

In my experience once a rig gets " canned " It seldom ever sees a real paint job again. And a basecoat/clearcoat can protect against rust way better. And remember you cant put PPG or HOC on top of krylon, So it would all have to come back off. To me the multicolor look means work in progress.
