Ok i have a 90 Bronco full size eddie baur edition, 351 5.8L engine..and its SUPPOSED to have dual exhausts but i only see one pipe..anyways i was going to just get the muffler cut off and run straight pipes but im only 17 and my parents wont let me since we live in the country and dont want to disturb our quiet little neighborhood..so i was just going to take it to a muffler shop and get a louder muffler but not to loud but one that just sounds good. maybe not very expensive? i read the flowmasters are really good but are pretty expensive. any ideas? i know nothing of cars/trucks and working on them and parts and all that..

and i attached a pic but have no idea if it worked or not

Well on mine I took off the exhaust and ran new headers with true dual exhaust. I pulled them outside the rails on the sides, put a dynomax turbo muffler on each pipe and turned them out and down in front of the back wheels. It sounds really good! If your just wanting a louder muffler go with a glass pack and keep your foot out of it when your leaving the house....a nice cherry bomb would do you well.

Well the Dynomax I got at Advance Auto Parts off the shelf for $50.00 each. I'm not sure about price you would have to ask a shop for the cost on a cat back system if you supply the muffler. Don't know what to tell you I did my own and the welding on it.

$140 for duals is a pretty good deal. It kind of depends on how much pipe they are adding too. I had a single flowmaster put on my truck and it cost me $100. You'd better watch out for the 40's if you're trying not to get too loud. Dual 40's on the 351 will probably wake the neighbors even if you are light on the foot. If you want a good throaty sound that is plenty loud when you step on it but quiet when you are moving slow or idle, go with the 50's. Of course, I don't give a **** what the neighbors think so I got the 40. -Jeff

I'm with Jeff...go with the 40's and don't worry about the neighbors. Now have some real fun and rip those cats out of there...cause like Jeff "I don't give a ****" what the law thinks... :D/ Just kidding, know that it may get you a ticked in the future and if you have inspections you won't pass if they are gone.
