Change engine ford v8 302 for a chevrolet 305 in a ford bronco 80

Hi friends, again write for your help, well we have a option to make a best performance and economy in our rescue unit ford bronco 80. We thing change the engine V8 302 for a Chevrolet 305 V8, with his drive train ( sorry but i dont speak english good, drive train i understand how a automatic speed??)

Please say us if is posible this change.

Hugo, you will have a difficult time with this engine swap. The GM 305 and Ford 302 have very different bolt patterns and spline count on the input shaft to the transmission.The 305 will not bolt up to any Ford transmission, unless you find a special made adapter. You can check out Novak Enterprises or Advanced adapters, but most of their product are to adapt the transfer case to a new transmission, not the engine. The engine mounts are also different onthe Ford and GM blocks. JSM84

Hugo,

Did you change the exhaust system?

Did you give it a tune up?

One can not get diagnsotic codes in trucks before 1984.

Do you have a carburetor?

Can you bring the truck to a local mechanic shop?

How many miles are on the engine?

Do you understand the questions, and the answers that you get?

Do you have an English translator if you do not understand?

IF not, we could look for a English to spanish translator on our end.
