i was trying to search what colors the 83 broncos came in but came up with no luck, so i just looked at the pictures of 83 broncos and couldnt find it. it came from the factory with this, my grandfather bought it brand new from the dealer, its an 83 ford bronco xlt it is red on black (like the blazer) , it also has Red leather interior

is it a rare color combo? it has a carburated 302 came with a 2bbl carb.

I had an 86 xlt bronco with red interior and black exterior, but no leather maybe your grandfather special ordered the leather interior.

the red on black exterior scheme is not unheard of but not exactly common either. now as for the leather interior that is unusual. ive never heard of a bronco having leather unless it was reupholstered down the road some time or another

i guess he got it custom ordered from the factory, when im down at my grandmothers ill take some pictures. its red on black, with red leather interior, i figured maybe it was rare because i didnt see any red on black when i researched the 83, ill keep you updated B)

i asked my father, he said that my grandfather bought the truck straight from the factory with crank windows, power rear glass, red leather interior

The leather looks comfy, and the paint looks in great condition. It must be custom though.

Only things my grandfather changed was the intake manifold, headers, carb, pulled the emissions junk off, changed the wheels (which i still have the originals), and put in a radio... Other then that everything was straight from the factory
