burning through powrer steering pump

my 94 likes to eat rear end and power steering pumps. i've fixed the rear end problems but, i have been though 2 power steering pumps and working on my 3rd. the 1st went when i was off roading....go figure, so i thought no big deal. then another went on me when i was doing donuts in a gravel parking lot, and the one now doesn't like to work when the car is idling. im about to lift it 6" and put 35" under it, so now it will be an annual buy at this rate. is there a better pump somewhere? or some way to build one up?

You will probably do your self a favor by doing a Saginaw pump conversion. It is not difficult to do. All you need to do is get one from a E250 with a serpentine system on it. You will also need the high pressure hose, bracket and pulley from the same vehicle, but you might want to get a new hose instead of a used one.

heh dont get your pumps at autozone or pepboys, their stuff is junk, specially if you use it hard at all.
