Hey Brando, I don't think it's possible, and have the fittment done correct. The bronc gates are thicker to allow for the window and related hardware.

Maybe someone else on here has tried this, and can give us the exact answer.

Good Luck

He wrote; "....So I had this truck tailgate laying around & wanted to put it on the Bronco...When I stripped down my other 79 I took that gate & hinges & tried to make it work with the truck gate...Wouldnt...So I made the truck gate work alone...The pix show what I did...The gap between the gate & truck Im going to use hood stops/bumpers & a gate latch on each side to lock it down

If I run glass Ill use plexi...The void Im just going to make some bumpers like those that are used for hoods

I plated the backside of the hing area & tonight I start the body work on the gate....Maybe even get it painted tonight also..

Ok... I finaly took pix last night of my latches & what I did to deal with the "gap" from using the truck gate...

For the bumpstop I used a bumpstop off a car that was in my scrap pile... I cut the stud off & cut it in 2.. Then drilld it out & used ready rod & nuts to mount it... Its totaly ajustable to take uop the rattling of the gate & the latches...
