The C6 is probably the best automatic you could put in it, great transmissions and rugged. Thanks you guys !!! I am a ways off, putting one my antique John Deere tractor up for sale this weekend, its got to go first. Then its body off and the fun starts. I am gathering as much info as I can before I start. I am thinking about replacing the 302 with a 351. It has a NP 435 and I am contemplating an automatic , but if I do its got to be stout. Majority of driving will be street crusing with some mild off road trail blazing, no doors, no top. Transfer case leaks but seems solid, maybe a reseal ? Differentials have Currie Enterprise tags, they seem OK , however the rear pinion seal leaks. Need some rust repair work, and a complete new suspension, cage, seats, wiring etc... Can't Wait !!!!!
