I recently purchased a 1975 Bronco with a 302 Automatic. The VIN# on the glove box matches the frame. The engine, tranny, transfer case and axles match the vin# as well. It is a 75 and it is supposed to be a dark brown body. The truck has red carpet. The door panels are beige with a dark brown grip. Was this colour combination possible? Also, this truck has a Chome Dash. The entire dash and glove box door. Was this an option or has someone had the original dash chromed? Thanks for the help. Kye

sounds like someone went a little crazy at the chromers. The dashes were typically white. As for carpet, that is an owner add in unless it is a possible Sport package add on, but I kind of doubt it. As for the original color, check the BroncOhio website under the tech & they have the VINs decoded there.

Thats what I thought. Starting to think this truck has had a couple of donors. I don't think this is the original body, but the dash or at least the glove box door is. I need park brake cables for it. Will cables off any 70's ford work? I'm guessing they'd be longer but probably easier to find. thks.

They are a lot longer. The EB e-brake cables are only about5-6 feet long whereas a truck is pushing closer to 10 feet. Look at BC Broncos for the e-brake cables. They should have them for you.

The park brakes were not connected when we bought the truck. The truck has 40" tires on it which will probably catch the cable coming off the Park brake pedal. What should I do with this cable? Can I install a lever style somewhere near the transfer case shifter? Thanks

It shouldn't catch the tires no matter what size you have. Mine sits flat against the floor pans with about a 1" loop coming off the floor pan mount. But yeah, you can put a hand pull in. I have seen a couple done that way, but I don't know what would work as far as a donor car. My first guess would be a late 80's Mitsubishi Montero. They are realitivaly close in size to an EB and they have a center console park brake. I don't know if Bronco 2s have a center hand brake, but you might also check one of those.

Well i have a 75 and they where the least sold for that model year, too me yours sounds ready too cut weld abuse and wheel. A 75 would not be my choise to make nice. Just my small two cents.

Parking brakes are easy(stock lift keep cables) big lift get new cables............no exsisting hardware? make your own.... mine was gone.......a couple of brackets and screws and simple steel and waaalllaa Parking brakes... anyone need pics, and or help??
