Hey everyone,

I'm purchasing a 91 Bronco XLT from a buddy of mine. The interior is near perfect, the outside has some minor rust and could use a paintjob, and the engine (5.0L V8) has 130k miles on it. The tranny is honly has 30k on it. Overall its in decent condition and I'm paying $800 for it.

That really has nothing to do with my question, just a little background. Anyway, this might sound stupid, but does the Bronco come with a jack/lift, in the frame somewhere, my buddy said he thought it did, but after searching this forum and the internet, I've come up with no answers.

Thanks ahead of time.

I have an "85 Fullsize and the jack is in the Engine compartment mounted on the right wheel well. It's a pretty dinky job and I hope I don't ever need to use it. If your engine compartment is pretty crowded it could easily be overlooked....it's pretty small.

Ditto on DesertDoc. The stock jack will work but I found it to be a little small. I got one from a F250 which is a little heavier and keep it in the back with my internal wheel carrier. I also carry a 18" x 18" x 3/4" piece of plywood to put under it which distributes the load on soft surfaces and keeps it from sinking in to the dirt.

Good luck,

:)>-

Thanks alot guys, it wasn't a huge concern of mine, but I was just curious. I am thinking about purchasing a jack anyway. And the wood is a good idea, I'll add that to the milk crate o' stuff i'm going to be keeping in the bronco. Stuff like jumpers, roaadside emergency kit, tow chain, bungees, crowbar, stuff like that.

I'm very excited about this, being it is my first vehicle.
