Bronco Front Seats

I'm new the early broncos and to the this forum. I just got a '77 bronco and notice that the passanger front seal has the fold down release lever near the center of the bronco not near the door like on the drivers side. This seems backwords. It is this right? Also if the passanger seat is folded down the passanger door wont close. Also seems wrong but just not sure.

Yes that is correct. My 74 is like that.I finished my restoration a couple months ago,check it out in the gallery,RNichols
