Hi, i am thinking of taking a 5.9L 12v Cummins out of my uncles 3500 Ram. I was wondering if i could just swap the motors out, while using the same E40D automatic tranny in my bronco? Or will i have to take the existing tranny in the ram and drop it in my bronco, my uncles trannny is manual, and also his is not a 4x4 ram. How will this effect my 4x4 capabilites? or does it matter if the tranny is 4x4 or not?

i visited the FordCummins.com website and they did not say anything about transmission switches or anything like that

i know that the swap might seem impractical to do, but as a daily driver and the cost of gas per 11mpg is outragious considering how much i drive as a student. this conversion would benefit me i believe.

try if you like to change my opinion, it wont work, dumb young guy whos mind is set on this, cant change it lol

any advice on tranny swap would be helpful thank you
