Previously I had a leveling kit installed in order to fit my 33's on my 95 Bronco. however im not very satisfied since it almost looks stock height. i was wondering if a 2" body lift would make it look better? and how safe are body lifts since my steering wheel is pretty "loose". would the body lift affect the way it handles or what not? also on average how much would install cost for a body lift? thanks in advance

p.s. i have had my bronco for 3 months an havent tooken it off roading yet. i live in long beach california. any beginner trails within a 2 hour drive?

first off i would recommend installing the body-lift yourself. It is a cheap way of getting a lift on your truck and anyshop you go to will mostlikely charge more than the lift itself to install. the only problem with self installation on a body lift is welding the 2-3inch bar to the shift column, thats if you dont have a welder. as far as the body lift itself goes its all personal opinion. i myself dont mind the body lift (3inch on mine) while other people tell me it had ruined the look of my truck.

The major problem with LA is that you're not 2 hours away from anywhere except maybe the staple center, but... on a non traffic time you're about 2 hours away from barstow where there is a massive amount of 4x4 trails. You're not too far away from El Centro so you can do all the sand dune areas there, and Pismo is maybe 3 1/2 hours from you. Try this site http://www.desertusa.com/OHV/du_ohv_blm.html .... I hope this helps with finding a place to take your rig out and having fun.

i was thinking of a body lift myself but got tons of negative feedback from it. I decided to just go with a susp lift instead. As far as the install a good weekend with a few buddies should get it done.

body lifts aren't nice at all, i have a 4" suspension on mine, can run 35"s under it(when i upgrade, running 33" right now) and that is plenty of ground clearance to have tons of fun in.

Main point: Body lifts are trash, suspension always better
