blown fusible link

I have an 88 FSB 5.0efi. I caused a short in the battery and blew a fusible link. I replaced the fusible link and starter relay and I have no power at all. I checked the battery it is fine, I have power to the firt post on the relay but not to the 2nd and no power to anywhere else in the truck. Please help! Thanx sal

Which link did you blow? It is possible that you blew more than one. Are your hazard lights working? Are your head lights working?

the main starter, I checked all others and they are good. I wonder if I have the wires reversed on the relay, would it hurt to switch them or will I blow more?

With the key turned to START, check for 12V at the red with light blue stripe on the small terminal to the start relay. If you have it there, then the relay is probably bad, if not the trace it back. The wire goes to the neutral safety switch on the transmission if you have an automatic or to the Clutch Interlock switch if it is an manual shift. The same color wire goes all the way to the ignition switch mounted on the column under the dash.

i did the same thing, replace all 3 fusible links at your starter silinoid(typo i think lol) if you have no power at all anywhere you need to replace them, and check your wires leading away from your ss. you prolly fried your batteries ground wire like i did you have to replace that one too.
