I have a 74 with 5 in suspension lift, 2 in body, and 35 in tires. 302 v8, 351 heads, mild rv cam. original tranny was a RAT 3 speed. need to replace it, tired of rebuilding it.

What do you do with your rig? I went with the NP435 for the granny low 1st gear. It shifts like a big truck but you can get a shift kit. If you have the funds go for a NV4500 5 speed.

Most will need an adapter to your D20 or you can run the NP205 off the back of the 435 or what ever you pick up.

The easiest swap will be the NP. No fabrication, no lengthing driveshafts, the only cutting you have to do is on the tunnel to be able to fit it in and have access to the top loader. It's gotta be out of an late 60s to early 70s 2wd F-100-250 PU. Make sure it has the square bolt pattern and you will also need to get the 6-cyl adapter to be able to mate it up right, but it can all be done for less than $1000.
