The other day, I was in a hurry trying to change the battery in my "87 4x4 Bronco II. The battery that I put in had reversed terminals from the battery that I took out. Not paying attention, I just hooked up the battery, as soon as I completed the connection, sparks and smoke began to fly everywhere. I have replaced the solenoid and checked all fuses. I replaced one fusible link that had burnt. Had a friend of mine check wires. He said they were all good. Still I have nothing at all. Not even a dome light when I open the door. Please help!!!

Did you replace the battery that was hooked up backwards or have it checked?
