I had a bad ground on my old battery cables, so i replaced it. I was going to replace the positive one as well but i was a bit confused. I followed the positive cable down to the starter and it appeared that there were two bare wires both crimped onto the starter. The replacement that i have, the end is just a flat piece of metal with a hole through it. I am a little confused on how to attach it to the starter.

Post up your year modle and engine size. Most I've seen have the + cable going to a starter solenoid on the fender next to the battery, then a separate cable to the starter. JSM84

Oh yeah that might be helpful... my bad. Its a 94 bronco with the 5.8L It does split from the battery to the solenoid on the fender and then one wire goes to the starter. Where it connects to the starter appears to be just the wire crimped on to it and no where to connect the new battery cable with the flat piece of metal with a hole through it as a connector.
