Does anyone know if the armrest is removable in a 92 xlt? I got seat covers and would prefer to cut a bolt hole and put the armrest back on not cut a large armrest hole

Yes, but it is a PIA to do. I sometimes wonder how they assemble them at the factory. On my '79 there is a bolt on the arm rest that you have to remove, which involves carefully peeling back the fabric in order to get a wrench in there and loosening the bolt. If I remember right, you also will have to get a wrench on the nut on the seat side as well.
