I was given an AODE tranny and transfer case and was wondering if it would be better to use in an EB than the C4 and j-type case. I am doing a tub off restoration and this would be a good time to do it if I wanted to make the swap.

Depends on what you do with your tub restro, I wheel my bronco and I like the better gearing from a np435 manual and a j case and 4.56 gears, but I crawl rocks and both axles can be locked up, a nice clean street drive does not need all that, but If I where too do it again I would do a auto trans with a ********* 2 too4 speed trans case aka (insert fav here) Good luck with your project

What Bigblue said. If its a street rig, go for it. If it is gonna be a rock-hopper, do yourself a favor & get an NP (and nothin' against the J-shift, but the T-shift is lower geared).

Upon further reading, I discovered that I would need the computer to operate the AODE. The project has a 3 speed and T shift case originally. (1970)I have a while until I make a decision. Any other thoughts??
