my 84 Bronco was my daily driver for three years. untilI got the 2006 Dodge Quad cab 4x4 with the HEMI. Now the Dodge tow the Bronco on the trailer. The Dodge gets 13 city/15 hwy, asnd the Bronco did get 11.5 avg before the 460 swap. I really like that 85 Bronco you have, wish i hadn't blown my motor up!!! JSM84

Edit: I have a 98 Z-71 sitting in the barn that I never drive, except for the occaisionasl hog hunt or mud bog. It only gets 14 mpg, but will out-run the Bronco and the Dodge. It pulled double-duty with the Bronco for two years, mainly for long road trips.

I need to get you a shot of a local 87-91 bronco I see every week. It's 2-tone Brown, with like a darker brown than yours, then tan/gold on the bottom trim. It's one of the nicest bronco's I've seen. Will try to get a pick for sure. His neighbor has a 97/99 F-150 with the Star Wars special package. Iwant to get picks of that one, too!!!

Mine was a daily driver and trail rig from 2004 until last month. When I got it, it was completely stock and at one time, I was getting 15 mpg out of it on the highway but as I added mods to enhance trail performance milage got worse and worse. So last month with gas prices knocking on $4 a gallon and the Beast down to 8 mpg in town (where most of my "daily driving" takes place) and 205,000 on the odometer, I decided to retire the faithul old Beast to duty as a weekend toy only. I just got a 2008 GMC Sierra to pull duties as daily driver and tow rig to get the Bronco too and from the trails. I always swore I would never let the Beast become a "trailer queen" but my last long road trip (1400 miles round trip) with 4.56 gears, top cruise speed of 60 mph, mud terrain tires, and 11 mpg helped me change my mind.

A few photos from it's time as my old reliable "work-horse":

Here it is now, next to the new tow rig:
