i dont know for sure but i though my amp gauge worked when i bought the bronco 4 months ago. but now it doesnt. whats the best way to go about fixing this. ive tried looking at it and testing the wires but its such a tight fit. thanks

Try cleaning all connections to the alternator and the voltage regulator with sand paper or a dremmel wire brush wheel. I did that and got by ammeter to read just fine. I also verified with a voltage meter that the battery was at 12 volts not running and indicated 13 plus volts with the engine running.
