intake.jpg650_holley.jpg I have a problem with my carb set up. I have an Ford alluminum intake part number RF-E4ZE-9425-GA and a holley 650 carb. I had to use a spacer plate to make room for the choke on the carb. The problem I have is that on that intake, there is a slot on the intake manifold right at the edge of the spacer plate. The spacer plate gasket covers it, but the spacer plate does not. I am getting a air leak at that point. Anybody have any idea which spacer plate I need to use??? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

David

That intake is designed for a EGR spacer plate. Intakes are usually designated EGR or Non-EGR. You could use an EGR spacer and block off the end of it where the EGR normally mounts with a fabricated steel plate, or mount an EGR with no control which would just leave you with a unused part hanging on the end of it.

Good luck,

:)>-

I looked it up and found that spacer plate. If I use that spacer plate, I will have to had a scoop to the hood. A friend of mine that works in a machine shop told me he could build that little bit up on the side then machine the bottom of the plate back off to perfectly flat. Would that work just as good?

Thanks,

David
