ok here my deal i can get ford explorer 1997 w 4.0 engine sohc that the prob

engine is shot chain went

so here my Q

did or is it possible to change engine to 93 4.0 liter

or did any one do it

truck is in great shaPe all loader low millage

ps

have 93 donor one of my toy i got

asking price is 600.00 yes 600.00

look like some are afraid to never ad this promb

com prob on those engine

ok

il take cover off tell you how it going for future info

is more info no noise when engine turn over but turn fast and no compression

talk to my machine shop guy tool me some rare ocasion do not hit valve so let you know

PS ovc not same trans the sohc

ok i am back

timing chain to cams chain look ok but haftshaft jump and may need ballencing and haftshaft kit

now how stupid can ford be to not put mark need special tools yes rigth

all i wanted to know if valve hit or not if there was a mark cauld tell but no

take the valve couve on left side 2-day off and try to get to see where the mark are on cam

i end up pulling it out but just dont whant it to stay in my garage for week wating for parts

if it work-out that engine ok thend order new chain kit and pull it out

got to many truck need garage space

let you know how it doing

ps just rebuild my 1990 ford b-2 A4LD TRANS ad one that 2 year old guy ad it clutch gone

mine planatary was broke so two made one at no cost just time and some gasket and silycone
