I have started installing my skyjaker 9" lift on my 79 this weekend and have ran into a few problems... currently I am installing the radius arm drop brackets and reinstalling the radius arms and new 4 degree c bushings. I have taken of both coils and have removed the driver side radius arm. My questions are:

1. do I have to take both radius arms off at the same time in order for this to install easier?

2. do I have to disconect the front driveshaft in order to do this? ( because my problem is getting the radius arm to line up with the drop brackets... the radius arm needs to move forward about 3-4" in order for the radius arm bracket to line up with the radius arm drop bracket...)

3. will I have to disconnect the rear driveshaft when I get ready to install the rear add-a-leafs and 5" blocks???

Any help is much appreciated.

Well when i did it i didn't have any drive shafts in at all but your going to need a extra hand moving the axles around to get them in place. If you can get some help see if you can do it without removing the radius arms but i thank you need to remove them both. I had to do all of this at my parents house cause i lived in a apt. so it was the only driveway i had. So if i need help I could always ask them to give me a hand holding stuff in place. good luck and if anymore questions just ask

Doster, I would unhook the front driveshaft, after first marking the position of the u-joint and yoke. That way, when you hook it back up, it will still be in phase. You can leave the radius arms bolted to the axle, just pull off the old frame bracket and isntall the new one. You will likely need a come-along and perhaps a small jack to get the arms in position to at least start a bolt or insert a punch into a bolt hole in the frame and bracket so you can get a bolt started.
