:D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> hey everyone here is a question for you that maybe you can answer for me. i am looking to upgrade my stock axles. i am thanking about finding a earlier bronco fullsize with the 44 front and 9 inch rear and just swapping bodies. is this a good idea or am i looking for trouble? also want to switch tranny and transfer case for a better set up. could i use the tranny and trans from the donor bronc. I want to make a good offroader but still have it driveable on the street. also i like the look of the '85 ,'86 bronco front end can i switch out the frontend pieces?(i like the square light look not the plastic cover look) thnks for any help :)>-

I think it would still be alot of work but would be easier to swap the drivetrain (axles, tranny, t-case, motor) from the donor truck or Bronco to your's. The 78/79 Bronco body & frame are different than the 80-up Bronco, but have great running gear. Front clips will interchange from 80-86 to 87-91 as long as you swap the whole clip (radiator core support ,hood, fenders). Try searching the forums, there's several topics on axle swaps and front clips. JSM84
