I have a 1988 Bronco II that is displaying the following codes. Can anyone give me any help with these?

51, 67 & 29 show up when just the ignition is on.

98 shows up when the engine is running

51-ECT indicated -40 F/circut open

67-Neutral Drive Switch (NDS) ciruit open/A/C on

29-Insufficient input from Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

98-Hard fault present

The A/C currently isn't working. Does that make any difference to code 67?

For the most part the truck seems to run fine, but doesn't always idle even and sometimes seems to run rich.

Any advice would be helpful!

Keep those codes handy and clear the codes in the computer. Drive it for awhile under normal conditions and then pull the codes again.

Sometimes it just needs a flash and she'll run smooth again.

If they pop up again then start investigating the codes.
