88 bronco axle to 81 swap?

I have a 88 bronco with the funky locking hubs(****** mount).I also have a 81 bronco ...will the whole front axle assy swap?If so how much trouble?Tho 81 has been parked in a barn on the farm for 4 years...time to do something with it.My hub on the 88 is busted on one side...way to much to replace(****** mount)tryin to get away from ****** mount.I foulnd a kit from Jeffs bronco.looks easy enough but if i can swap out....

Yes, the axle and suspension parts will swap from the 81 to the 88. There will be some difference in the brake calipers, so your 88 brake hoses may not work on the 81 calipers. If the TTB axle has been sitting idle for 4 years, i would go thru it and service the seals and bearings, repack the grease and change the gear oil. also a good time to change the axleshaft u-joints and balljoints. so from exp would this be doable? And is it wroth the trouble? Im just tryin to use what ive got...the 81 has always had a strong running gear

can he just swap everything from the ball joints out? instead of swapping the whole ttb setup?

if you do swap everything make sure your front gear ratio is the same as your rear. are either of your trucks dual shock up front? the top bucket is different but the rear shock on the dual setup just bolts on to the radius arm i think.

i know my 88 is duel shocks....im gonna get to the farm this weekend and look at the 81. I thought about from the ball joint out...but wasnt sure if that would work.I have to see the 81...its been awhile scince ive seen it
