Greetings all..

Madness here from Valencia Ca.

I have a 67 With a factory 1/2 cab, 351W.

The Bronco is sitting in front of my house, I often get people stopping and wanting to buy it.

It currently has a Non-Op, should fire up with a new batt.

I have too many toys now as I'm into Vintage Motorcycles so I don't have time to play with the Bronco.

Any idea as what it is worth?

Here is a quick pic (Behind some of my other toys)

Thanks in advance!

First off, 1/2 cabs are rare to begin with, but it is all up to the buyer. If a 1/2 cab and a full cab in identical shape are sitting there, it's going to be up to the guy with the cash to put it down. Just like anything else. But if the body is in a 7-9 (on a 1- 10 scale) then I would start my asking price around 8-10k. The thing with the 351 isn't that big because it is a fairly easy swap to be done. Granted, its' already been done on yours, but is it a junkyard motor that was pulled and dropped in or was it a complete rebuild? Are there any other upgrades that have been done? Power steering/brakes, disc brakes, lift, similar upgrades? A really good thing you have going for you is that you are in California and the premium on EBs out there is astronomical. These rigs seem to be the next greatest thing since sliced bread to people out there and they will pay a very good premium for them. But without seeing better pictures, knowing what has been done to it besides an engine swap and all around just being able to crawl around it, I wouldn't be one to give you a concrete price to start going down from. I know of a '70 1/2 cab near me that is completely stock except for cut rear fenders and body wise is in about a 6+ shape, that if I had $3500, it would probably be mine. Take that same vehicle to California and it is an instant 3-5k more for it. But the big thing is to know when not to be greedy. I know we all think our rigs are worth a lot, and some are in the 20k price range, but realistically, somewhere in the 5-10k range for a very solid, unmolested, rust free EB is a good starting point.

Bronco value seems to be down everywhere, I keep an eye on it in so cal and alot of high buck broncs are down 5 grand. The normal small lift 33 s offroaders seem to be going around 4. Parts like lockers gears steering brakes and trans and axles make them worth more then others in my eyes. A 67 with a three speed with no gears and or lockers 4 wheel drums and a dana 30 front axle, small bearing 9 inch w 28 spline axle no power brakes or steering isnt worth much too me, maybe a restorer who wants all stock. Or it has too be really shiny and the buyer has too be a 16 year old rich kid.. HAHA Sorry california is not adding 2-4 thousand just because its here. I dont think the 351 is gonna help with the sale either, an informed buyer will know the last thing a bronco needs is more power, unless you mud bog. They need more fuel economy .With more info I would give you my worthless evaluation, but I do like your small honda, I have a 5 hp 68? 90cc honda version cant remember and the off road sproket. and I just sold my 64 yamaha yds 250 two stroke twin. I like those small old bikes too.

I'd have to argue that point. I know of 3 guys here in Colorado who carted their EBs out there within the past 6 months for that purpose alone. Here, they had offers of 4-6k and all three of them got over 10k for their rigs. Especially in the LA area, which is where they sold them. Now, I will say that not every EB is going to garner that kind of price jump, but because you have companies like Rocky Roads charging premium for Earl Schibe paint jobs & people like actor Jeremy Piven & singer Alan Jackson driving them around, they get the "cool" factor built into that price. To the person who knows what they are and what is in it, you are 100% correct, it shouldn't add that kind of money to it, but the reality of it is, it does add that. The main reason isn't just the famous people that are associated, but because these rigs are starting to show up in music videos, commercials, TV shows & movies....celebs are starting to drive them because they aren't "Jeeps" and not everyone has one. Simple case of supply & demand.

You are right, I was just talking about the usual sale of well worn trail rigs with ugly paint and beat up bodys that are sold and traded around that could be fixed up and made into great trail rigs. A great body and paint makes our ugly rigs into a great seller for the rich fokes in LA but that is the exception, and I would not count on that sale. Just because its a bronco does not make it worth 10-20 grand, I would like too get 7000 for mine but no one is biting and I have all the good parts( In my mind)lockers, tires, gears, engine, trans, twin shift...But its beat up and tired looking and runs on propane, nobody wants it.....
