would an early 70,s model 302 block work with a 89 f.i. heads and intake ?

The block doesnt care what intake and heads you put on it an older block is not a roller cam block though and your 89 might be so you wouldnt be able to switch cam from your 89 block to your 70,s block without some mods it can be done though . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Ohhhhh one more thing that is different the crank in the I believe 78 and up 302,s is a lightweight crank 76 and back are heavy cranks that look very similar to 351W cranks , When they went to this lightweight crank they also went to a one peice rear main seal I believe you can use an older crank in a newer block and a newer crank in an older block but you must use the correct flywheel for which ever way you go the older cranks had I think a 28 oz weight and the newer light cranks have a 50 oz weight dont swap them around or youll get a very noticable vibration and it will be **** on the bearings . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
