300 inline 6 swap?

hey, just curious if anyone has experience swapping a 300ci 6 into the 78/79 bronco? also if anyone has an idea of why it would want to run hot without a snorkel? possible cooling system upgrades while its on the bench? the swap should be pretty straight forward as the bell housing is designed for the np435 (which is what I have)... oh and the engine has been bored .030 over. i am sure that could be the antagonist, but how much more should I be able to go if problems were to occur? I will be running the 4 core radiator from my 460, hoping that might help, and running a snorkel eventually. possible tbi also. just throwin that in there =). thanks!

300 inline 6 with the dinky original radiator and a good water pump and thermostat should run barley in normal on the hottest of days. make sure you have a good water pump and thermostat.

you can seperate the engine from the transmission and just swap the blocks so you don't have to remove the engine and transmission from the transfer case. with everything properly labeled and disassembled it shouldn't take more than a day to straight swap 300's from start to finish.

when I was doing my frist 300 swap in my 81 I was working 2 jobs and had to squeeze it in over 2 weeks. couple hours here, couple hours there. it was killer.

oh and if the original engine was a 300 a 302 or 351 windsor, then your new 300 will bolt right up to the transmission if you want to use the original transmission.

ON SOME MAY NEED TO CHANGE RADIATOR INLET AND OULET SOME ARE DIFERANT

GET A 3 OR 4 CORE RAD IF AUTOMATIC GET TRANS OIL COOLER

AUTO TRANS CAN RAISE ENGINE TENP WHENT IT WORK HARD
