Hey y'all, I've had my '72 bronco for ten years, and since I've had it my column shifter has given me problems, namely first gear. I've replaced the column twice, replaced the shift rod bushings, and adjusted the 1st/reverse rod completely to the end of the thread. It feels like it just doesn't have enough length to slip into gear, and as you can imagine it's a true pain. Does anyone have advice on how I might remedy this? It goes into gear just fine when I have someone push in the clutch and I shift directly on the transmission, so I don't think it's the transmission. Anyways, please let me know. Thanks!
