Hi folks, I'm new to the forum and farely new to my 73 stock bronco. I'm installing a 3.5" sus lift from WH's and I'm not sure where to start on the front end. What's the easiest way to start? Do I need to start by removing the coils/ shocks, then trac bar, then drag link, then driveshaft? Then remove/ install radius arm c bushings? Someone PLEASE get me started. Thanks.

Wild Horses would be glad to advise you, so you'll get it right.

You pretty much got it right....it all has to come off.

The "C" bushings have to go in a specific way.... left/right/top/bottom

They're marked.

Pulling the whole axle out to work on is usually best. (to get radius arms parallel)

You may need some help.....safety is the "key"...good stands, floorjacks, etc.

Not really...

Seems to me I pulled tierod end off the pitman arm, pulled the trac-bar, jacked up frame (on jack-stands) high enough that br. drums wouldn't hit the ground while hanging free.

Remove U-joint, wheels, shocks, springs, & radius arms.

A dolly under ea. drum may help jockey things around.

I did one side at a time but it's tricky to get the rad. arms parallel that way.

If not parallel, your rig may sit low on one corner.

It's one of those projects that "you will be the expert" once you've completed it..!

On the rear, be sure to put the spring bolts in the direction they came out....or they may snag on the hangars/shackles

HTH,

Bob

Thanks, I appreciate it. This dude is going in this weekend so I let you know if I run into some lean troube. Based on what I've read, I can make sure the radius arms are level, take my time and it shouldn't give me any trouble...
