I am about to get a 1980 F250 and have never put a lift on a 250 before.. I was just wondering how to go about doing that.. I know that the add-a-leaf springs and the blocks go in the rear but not sure how to do the front.. If anyone could help me on this one.. Thanks

the best thing to do is to buy a lift kit. the front i beleive is leaf springs. you could get the springs rearched. get a system not a kit. kits usually comes with lift blocks for the rear which is not a good idea and in my opinion not real safe :)>-

250's are easy to lift, leaf springs in all four corners. although leaf springs over the TTB is a god awful combination. if you can, try to make the rear lift all spring, i.e. avoid the use of blocks if at all possible. the front should install almost exactly like the rear, just unbolt from the cross member and shackles and install your new springs into the proper mounting surfaces and attach the ubolts from the TTB. the rear is even easier. make sure you have proper tools to use, such as a heavy duty floor jack (2 1/2-3 ton) and jackstands. take your time. it might get kinda frustrating when you have to install the dropped pivot brackets on the engine cross member, but just take your time and measure alot before you start drilling

Thanks guys, that helped alot.. What about flipping the shackles in the front and rear.. Is that possible in the front and rear?? Will it actually give you more lift??
