A serious question to ask in this forum. A fabricator I know is willing to work with me on this but I need to start the ball rolling on interest. Does anyone know how I can find out how many Broncos in the above years are still on the road today?

Thats a damn good question. Only thing I can come up with is trying to see if the NHTSA has and is willing to release that info. (National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration) But for the record, there are 7 at my work alone. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I don't think there's anyone, anywhere that can hand you an answer to that. You *might* get some direction fron NHTSA or by contacting the 50 State RMV's for data but again I doubt that 1) it's available or 2) they'd release it to oyu. You're just going to have to work this one out on your own. Go theu the various Ford websites and start by determining just how many Bronco's were produced each year & then do a statistical analysis year by year to get a rough figure on how many could still reasonably be around. Add your annual totals and you'll have a good picture. I'm sure it's a few million. You might get some direction from an insurance company. For example Maybe 40% of the 1980 Broncos are still on the road or salvagable while it's probably closer to 80% of the 96' trucks. Get the numbers, talk to some people & start doing the math.

Here's another question. What style is your partner going to produce? Similar to STC w the tracks? Or a couple different styles? I'm willing to spend the bucks on a brand new STC track style top. I'm tired of seaching a couple hours each night. I'd like to have that style top with the 6pt family cage from JBG.

And I agree with the previous statments. There's a TON of late models still around just in my town. Maybe if me and a few others got some tops there would be more and more that catch on. And that's just in one town in Maryland. The possibilites are immense.
