My broncos only problem I have is that red wire hanging on the bottom gets hot only when i turn igntion all the way over before i start it. I traced the wire it splits into another brown one that goes to solenoid and igniton control module. It runs good but the wire just stays hot almost to the point of melting but it doesnt theres no shorts anywhere else.

Resistor wire.

Red / green. I'd recommend getting a GOOD repair manual. It helps make sense of such things.

What kind of stereos, amps or OTHER types of things do you have running off of your "keyed" ignition source? Folks run in to the same problem when they pile on fog/running lights into the headlight switch causing IT to overheat as well! Basically- that's what fused relays are for. Just a thought, maybe you've already found AND fixed the problem.
