1345 t-case

i'm looking at putting a new used 1345 BW t-case in my 87 bronco. i herd the BW 1356 are junk. any body know anything about 1345 BW t-case's?? i'm in a bind other wise i have the option of a 205 that i can hunt down and get rather cheap.

The B-W 13-45 and 13-56 are similar, and the 13-56 is used in the F-350's behind a 460 so it can handle some grunt. Both are chain driven, vs the gear driven NP205. But the 2.7:1 gear ratio is better than the 1.7:1 of the Np205, which is also about 100 lbs heavier. Take a look over at www.truckpulls.com, they used to have alot of info and tech on the transfer cases and their specs. JSM84

i just herd that the 1356 was junk and i shouldn't fix it just put the 1345 in, but thanks for the help : /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

There both pretty much the same . The output spline is different like I said in a previous post . They both have the same problem that all 1356,s have and thats the oil pump pickup hose . That hose is what causes the T Case to fail 99.99999% of the time . It will crack and come off the pump then its all downhill from there . Every single one I have rebuilt has had that be the problem so I would suggest that whatever you use you take it apart replace that hose and inspect everything else . /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
