I've got a '67 Bronco and i'm replacing the inline 6 with a 302. The problem i'm having is the angle seems to be wrong, either with the motor stands or the motor mounts.

When the motor stands are flush on the frame rails, i have a gap at the bottom of the motor mounts and the stud is in the middle of the slot, which won't allow the engine to be removed unless you take one of the motor mounts loose.

I left the engine attached to the trans and transfer case, so i could get the location to weld in the new motor stands.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

gilley

gilley- you might want to try going to the james duff website, they have the accessories that converts I-6 to v8 swaps. maybe they have something different that you do, i think it would be a starting point.

Location
Boulder City, Nevada (Las Vegas area)
The frame specs show;

From driver side Transfer-case mount hole--to driver side inboard motor-mount bolt hole 36.5"

----to driver side outboard motor-mount hole 37"

Apparently these distances are true for passenger side as well.

I assume these measurements are on center hole.

But.., I would verify with Duff or any of the EB stores.
