86 bronco 2 oil problem

my oil light came on and wouldn't go off,sensor was connected and the engine would chatter because lack of oil.so i changed the pump. started it up light went off. drove it around and all seemed fine, well this morning the light came back on and the motor started to chatter. ***??? rev it a lil and the light would go off. shut it off and let it set a few minutes and start it back. it is fine for a few minutes then the light.. would could it be????

think i found the prob.. oil is thin..looks like i have water in it.. :mellow:

Or GAS! Oil with water in it looks like chocolate milk. Oil with gas in it is just thin. Sorry, but didn't notice what year truck you have. If it is carbed and has a mechanical fuel pump, then a bad diaphragm in the pump can let gas into the oil sump.

change the oil and filter first. and then remove the radiator cap and start the truck. do oyu have bubles in the radiator? air bubles i mean? if you do you have abad head gasket or cracked head. if you dont then the water is coming in from someplace else. how often have you had to refill the radiator? if never then the leak has just started or there isnt water in it at all. it could just be condensation.

it never got hot but i pulled the heads and hand um checked. and yup they was both warped. had um milled down and now all is fine..

what threw me was it never overheated at all.kinda odd..
