Yeah, my bad for not using Brett's username in the starter post (now edited). We've been chatting and conversing back & forth on his particular set-up, but I like to put topics like this out in the forums. We're trying to first of all ID the intake, then install a new carb (EDL 1406) and lastly get it hooked up. As yardape stated, Edelbrock has the parts needed to mate the 1400 series carbs to either the stock 351W intake or their own brand in the Ford trucks. Since the 84 Bronco of Brett's has the C6 auto, one of the kits needed is to adapt the tranny kickdown rod to the new carb. The other kit needed is to dapt the throttle cable coming from the gas pedal. Aside from these two items, the rest of the install is simple, and depends on what vacuum-operated items you need to run liek the brake booster and distributor advance. Since the EDL PErformer intake only has one port for the vacuum switch, you'll either need to tee off the line to your brake booster to run other items like crusie control. The good thing about Edelbrock is they have some instructions on their website, as well as a 1-800 tech help line. I may have posted the number in a recent thread, but if not I'll look for it. Or someone can post it if they have it at hand.
