A little help guys!?

My 95 with a 5.0 has been sitting for a year or so with out being started. I got a bug up my ars and started going though all the known problems, ie replaced fuel pump sending unit, filter plugs wires cap & rotor. It cranks but doesn't turn over, has spark and fuel pressure.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Did you add fresh gas?

You *may* want to check the fuel that is in the filter. IF you are in a humid environment, and your truck laid for a year or more, its possible that you have enough condensation collected in the tank that you are pumping water instead of gas.

I drained the old fuel out of the tank and blew out the fuel lines too. For those of you smart arses ..................Yes I put fuel back in the tank!

Well I don't really know what to tell ya. You need spark, fuel, compression and air. All occuring at the correct times. If you are comfortable that your electirical system is in good shape, then I *think* the next thing to check is to see if your injectors are injecting.

I read a thread one time that spoke of a low cost method of how to clean injectors.

IT went something along the lines of fill the fuel filter with cleaner, pull the coil wire so that it won't start, crank the engine for three or four ten second periods, so that the injector cleaner gets up into the injectors, wait some time (I don't remember how long), hook up your coil and start her up.

Remember to turn off your inertia switch before you pull the filter, and remmber to reset it.

A little persistance paid off. A can of starter fluid did the trick, took awhile for the motor to stabilize though.
