On a 1978 Bronco. 4" lift running 35" tires. Factory front dana 44. 4 degree c bushing. Does anyone know what the toe and camber measurements are supposed to be set at. I took it in to an alignment shop and they only did the toe because the guy didn't know there was a camber adjustment.

Typically they don't adjust camber. It should be good unless the axle is bent.

Not sure on the factory specs but we run 1/16th ' toe in. Not more than 1/8th inch.

There is an eccentric nut on the top ball joint for the camber adjustment.

I suppose there could be, Interesting, never used one on a solid axle before. I have no idea if that is factory or if someone added it, or if it should be there. Maybe someone else will chime in with a better answer.

Usually the eccentrics are only on 2wd and TTB stuff.

Either way I would think you want your camber at zero for best tire wear. Was the shop able to measure it?

Yes there is an adjustment nut on top of the ball joint but they’re not going to move if they have been there more than just a few years. If you have just replaced it, then maybe. These are old trucks and if you are not taking it to an actual truck repair facility the new shops can only set toe on these older Broncos. Nobody comes out of school today trained to service these 40 plus year old Broncos. You can add different “C” bushings to help, but to align them correctly a facility may have to heat and bend to bring the front end into proper alignment.

I rebuilt the front end. So the upper ball joint eccentric nut can still be adjusted. The camber seems good. I will set them at 0 and go from there.

The "C" bushings will only change your CASTOR angle. And its not a good idea to heat and bend those radius arms. It will weaken them and cause them to bend more. Also the only thing bending them will do is change your caster. Your caster being off will change your SAI and cause the steering to be squirrely and not allow the tires to recenter themselves. Get more adjustable bushings for your upper ball joints If You Can't Get Enough from the ones that are in there. You want to adjust the camber first then your toe
