I'm trying to stop the vent window from flapping in the wind. I have purchased the lower arm, spring, nut to fix the problem. The other problem is the original nut is rusted solid. I've used PB blaster over the last two days with minimal success. Thinking of cutting off nut with a dremel drill. I've removed the inside door panel and the screws on the front edge of door to the vent window frame. I have removed the vent window from the frame but I fear I may have to bend the vent window frame to get it out of the door frame. When I try to pull up the front edge frame for the vent begins to bend. I did not go further. Been to many sites and forums and read many posts. I have yet to see any post that has diagrams, video, or step by step process of vent window frame removal. Most of the posting I've read mentioned the door panel and screws on front edge of door and TaDa said they have removed the frame then.... . How is that done? For such a small part and annoying flapping, this has been a major Pain in the Butt. Any help for the newbie would be appreciated. 69 bronco with factory OEM doors.
