I started a few days back, thought I would let everyone know what is going on so far...

This all started with the dizzy refusing to drop into place. Come to find out, the oil pump shaft lifted out of its seat and dropped along side of it, effectively raising it just enough to not allow the distributor fall into place. Utimately, this is a good thing because I do not have any properly functioning gauges to warn be of imprtant things like -no oil pressure-.

Since I had the oil pan off to figure all this out, I decided that it would not be a bad thing to remove everything off the front of the engine to refresh the gaskets and strip the items down for repainting.

It has taken me a while to get this far... it seems that good paint takes longer to dry. But, if God decides to bless me, I should be able to purchase the replacement hardware Monday morning and have her running by Monday afternoon.

I will keep posting!!

PS

New neighbors moved in next door... the old ones are used to their car alarms going off when she starts...

THIS COULD BE INTERESTING!!
