so it just been a year since the deconstruction of the my 79 bronco. everything has been replaced or "fixed" except for body and ELECTRICAL! anyways i have been driving it around putting some miles on the new motor. the only issues i have are electrical. i mean the wires are so old its frustrating to look at them. and im talking spec. about the wires running to tial lights, tail gate. im fed up with getting some things to work then hitting some bumps then nothing works. so i want to re wire from the hood on back to the bumper. has anyone done this? is it hard? can i just buy a harness that is splice and play. ha. anything will be helpful. thanks

I don't know of anyone who makes just that harness. There is a couple of things you could do and in the process upgrade the wire back to the tail gate from 12 gage to 10 gauger. That is build your own harness, easier than you may think. The only problem is it won't be the original wire colors. That can be solved just by keeping a chart and doing one function at a time. Here is a nice write up on doing it yourself http://www.constructorscarclub.org.nz/Articles/wiringpart1.html . A place to buy parts you need http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/home/homepage.php

The other would be to replace all the wiring with a kit from some place like Ron Francis (expensive but his components are top quality) http://www.ronfrancis.com/ or Painless http://www.painlesswiring.com/ . There are other manufacturers of harnesses also, a GOOGLE search will probably turn some up.

Good luck,

:)>-
