hey all, just wondering if these heads will fit my 90 XLT with a 302. Recently , the mechanic said #8cyl has low compression due to bent valves. Hes trying to talk me out of doing a valve job on the truck and going with a motor, but at this time a valve job is what i can afford, or replace the heads myself. truck has 155,000. Is it worth doing a valve job? If anyone has any insight on this experience, could you please fill me in.. any info is greatly appreciated

thanx

If you can get the intake too, I would go for the new heads. If you plan on sticking to 302 motor in the truck you can always swap the heads to a

new motor when the cylinders or bottom end goes in your motor now. May as well get a port and polish on these heads for a bit better flow. If

your motor was taken care of you might just as well stick to what is on there and have the current heads redone. Take it to a machine shop yourself

and shop around the prices from one to another can vary widely.
