I've been throwing around the idea of turbocharging my 77 bronco. Ive already built the motor up and as happy as i am with the power it makes, ive just always wanted a turbocharged bronco.
heres what i have in the motor right now
Starting from the carb down:
-Holley truck avenger 750 cfm (almost over-***** but it was a good deal)
-Accel "superstock" 42,000volt coil
-MSD 8.5mm wires and brand new plugs
-Eddie performer intake
-Crane rollor rockers & nifty cobra valve covers
/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
-289 closed chamber heads, ported & polished, tad bigger valves all brand new. double springs etc. less then 1k miles
-new chromoly pushrods
-Double rollor timing set
-New lifters
-Comp cams 272 lift camshaft (almost RV, but just a tad step above) i wish i knew for sure this is the one i got, the paper work blew outta the truck when i was wheelin....
-Everything under that has less then 10k miles on it, the bottom end was rebuilt a couple years ago.
So im sure im forgetting a few things, but im just curious, is this set up worth turbocharging or do you guys have a more practical way of getting more power that doesnt break the bank....
oh ya. i was looking online and found this fake turbo sound BS and thought i had to share. its $500!!!!!!
