Tire Help.

OK so i have decided to go with some 33's. but i dont know which brand to go with, im looking at a $200ish per tire tag. im looking into some Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, or BFG's mud terrain but ive heard they have weak sidewallse, eny one have any other suggestions.

Id get some Super Swamper TSLs, there bias ply so there tough off road, the side walls on them are pretty tough too. Theyd run about 160 a tire, if you want something thatll last better on the road, get some Super Swamper trxus MTs. There radial so they wont flat spot over night and there waaay tougher the BFgoodrich MTs, there about 150 a tire.

Are you looking for a mud terrain? I have Denman Ground Hawg II Tires on my '85 and they work awesome. Mine are 38X15.5R16.5 and have never cupped and never left me stuck. I got 41,000 miles out of my last set. They are fantastic in mud due to thier tread design(literally a cross between a bogger and a Swamper). Check em out.

I was watching Extreme 4x4 a couple weeks back and they were unveiling the replacement for BFG's MT which they are about to stop making. The replacement looked pretty good so if you want the MT pick them up where you can find them still.

Man it all depends on what you want to use it for and who you talk to. If you want a MT tire there are a wide variety to chose from, but what kind of mud are you going to be driving in? I have a buddy who swears on Super Swamper TSL's he has had about 6 sets and won't buy anything else. I have Pro Comp Xterrains on my Dodge and have not had any problems and they have never left me stuck, but I have a set of BFG MT on my wife's durango and they are very good tires too. If it is going to be in the mud majority of the life of the tire then for $200 you can go with a set of boggers and they clean out very well, but if you are putting them on a daily driver that you take muddin' when you get a chance you could go with something less agressive like the BFG MT or the Trxus MT. My best advise to you is to grab a magazine that has a review on different mud tires and read the reviews and then make your decision. Heres a picture of the tires I described. I love them and will put them on my F350 as long as I own it. They are even run in Baja by some drivers. The one pictured is a radial. They also make bias ply.

im really leaning towards the truxus $200 or the Pro Comp x terrain due to the price $164 at 4wheelonline.

mostly a weekend off-roader, no a whole lot of pavement driving but definately some. i live in AZ so i have to get to mud whenever i can, and i want to make the best of it.

If your gonna get the trxus MTs man, there a *real* good choice. There alot tougher the BFgoodrich MT and will last just as good. And get them 4wheelparts if you order them there 158 a tire, and they ship a set of 4 for 90 bucks.

Good Luck with them and I hope they are good for you and what you want. I will be soon getting a set of 39.5 Super Swamper TSL's and am anxious to see how they do since I have never ran them on anything of mine. I will keep you posted and try and get some pics. Try and post some pics of your Trxus MT's when you get them.

Holy crap! I just went to that website and everything seems much more expensive than it should be. I was just wondering if I was looking at the right thing. They had 33x12.5 bfg All terrains for $230?!?! I could get the same tire at Walmart for $160. I think that place might be a rip off!

B-150 those Super Swampers TSLs will be awesome, ive driven trucks with them and the pull though mud, snow and loose rocks with ease. I liked em so much im gettin some on my bronco once i have some money.

I think 4wheelparts has pretty good deals on stuff, 4wheelparts and Summit Racing are the only places i buy from online.

but the actual 4 wheel parts store does good work..
