suspension question

I have a 93 Bronco. It has 155k original miles. It's all stock save for tires. When I hit even the smallest bump say a manhole cover it feels like it going to fall apart. The truck is in excellent cond. and the shocks are Pro-comps maybe 3 years old. Is it time to repl. springs??

Is the rough ride in the front or rear. The front end of the broncos are known to ride firm because of thier dual shock set up. The rear springs are also prone to failure, especially after 155K miles. If the rear springs are worn it will most likely make a clunk on take off or at a stop or exhibit some other signs of axlewrap. To tell if the shocks are bad look for oil or dirt that has collected around the shock where the piston rod is. Also a worn shock will sometimes make a shhh sound when going over speed bumps.

I, too, would lean more toward wornout shocks.

OT but are dual shocks stock ?

I have heard that they were an option to get dual shocks up front but I have never seen a single shock front on the 1980-1996 Broncos like mine.

Another thing to check would be your radius arm bushings. Mine were worn out and the front end pounded like crazy.

I got single shocks on mine but maybe its because im running a skyjacker lift kit
